Privacy Policy
The short version: what you type stays in your browser. KeyboardTestOnline is a static tool site with no accounts and no backend that receives your keystrokes.
What happens to your key presses
All keyboard testing runs locally in your browser. Key-down and key-up events are processed by the JavaScript on the page and never leave your device: nothing you type is sent to our servers, logged, or stored. There is no network request that carries keystroke content.
What we do collect
We use Google Analytics 4 (page views only) to measure which pages are visited and from where. This includes anonymous page-view events, referrer, device and browser information, and rough geographic region. It does not include keystroke content. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard edge access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and operations.
What we do not collect
- No keystroke content: key presses never leave your browser.
- No accounts: there is no sign-up, no email, no phone number.
- No tracking cookies: we do not set advertising or cross-site cookies. The Google Analytics 4 script sends page-view events with a first-party cookie, and no keystroke data.
- No local storage of your tests: results are not saved on your device.
Advertising
The site does not run advertising trackers. Any future advertising would be disclosed here before it is introduced.
